Who are Perform180?
Perform180 is the Performance branch of The Injury & Performance Clinic, a leading physiotherapy and sports injury clinic in Cheshire. We combine advanced physiological testing, performance profiling and clinical insight to help runners, athletes and active people better understand their body, train with more purpose and make clearer decisions about their health and performance. Our aim is to take the guesswork out of training by turning objective data into clear, practical guidance you can actually use.
Our facility is based within the Farm club grounds, a premium Health, fitness and wellness centre located on 300 acres of Cheshire countryside.
Why should you get testing?
You can make far more progress the more you understand your physiology. Knowing exactly what you need, your strengths and weaknesses and also the ability to track what affect your training is actually having. There is a reason testing is a stable of an elite athletes training.
At Perform180 our testing can give you clear data on your fitness, training zones, strength, metabolism, and caloric needs, so you can stop guessing and start making better decisions.
Whether your goal is sports performance, weight loss, better health, or long-term progress, testing helps you know what to focus on, track exactly what is working, and maximise your results.
Perform180 is for anyone who wants to understand their body and make more informed decisions about their health, fitness, or performance. That might mean improving general fitness, supporting weight loss or pushing towards a specific performance goal in running, cycling, HYROX, gym training, or sport.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
A standalone VO2 max test takes 1hr, with a lactate test taking 75 minutes. For the combined session we would allow 90 minutes total.
-
For the standalone VO2 max test the results will be generated instantly. For The combined session or the blood lactate we will typically have your report ready within 48hrs. For the full performance profile we aim to get the full report within 72hrs but this does depend on the complexity of the session.
-
This depends on the level of insight you are looking for. Some people do have a one off test but the real magic with testing is the ability to measure your training effect. Commonly this results in a re-test every 3,6 or 12 months.
-
The best time to get tested is now.
A lot of people think they need to “get fitter first” before doing performance testing, but testing is most useful at the start because it shows exactly where you are now and what you need to focus on.
By understanding your current fitness, training zones, metabolism, or strength profile, we can help you make better decisions from day one. You can then retest later to track what has actually changed and see the real impact your training, nutrition, or lifestyle changes have had.
